Melissa earned both her Bachelor’s and Master's Degrees from Austin College. Her Master’s Degree is in Education.

She taught at local Rockwall public schools for eight years: six years teaching high school Spanish, and two years teaching 3rd grade.

Melissa is currently in her second year of teaching 2nd grade Science and Social Studies at Wylie Prep. She also teaches Elementary Spanish.
