Matt earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from UT Arlington, followed by his Master’s Degree in Electronics Packaging from SMU.

His career began in 2008, taking him from developing top secret spy plane technology, to helping design the next generation Air Force One, to hanging out at NASA JPL’s Spacecraft Assembly Facility. As rewarding as those experiences have been, he finds the thrill of students having that ‘lightbulb’ moment far more fulfilling. Matt has been invited into the classroom by Quinlan and Rockwall ISD on numerous occasions to share about his engineering career path.

Matt’s involvement with kids extends to sports, as he can often be found coaching kids on softball field, baseball diamond, or flag football field.

In true stat-nerd fashion, he loves scorekeeping baseball, especially at Frisco Roughriders and Dallas Baptist games with his wife and children.
